Colours of moonlight

Oh moon with your

Silvery rays

Reflecting the light from

Other people’s days

Shining down in

Your Gentle way

The flowers once coloured

Now all look so grey

Some flowers curl

Slumbering sleep

Others awaken for

The moths to find sweet

The evening is

Calm and so still

Till the haunting calls of

Owls give me frills

The world’s reduced

To muted tones

So why does a moth

Have such colourful clothes?
